Cutty Dark Sandblast

During the “golden era” of pipe smoking in the UK, smaller pipes with narrow chamber widths were especially favored for flakes and plugs. This was due in part to cost, the strength of these tobaccos back then and the ease with which these cuts could be managed with this type of bowl configuration.
Consistent with our respect for classic British pipe design, Merchant Service introduces our newest shape, the Cutty. We believe those of you who smoke flakes and plugs will find this shape quite enjoyable, as well as when you simply want a shorter smoke, regardless of tobacco cut.
We are especially pleased to have sourced well-seasoned briar for these pipes. The chambers feature a subtle taper at the bottom. The beautifully tapered stems, which are no longer available, were made in England of the best quality vulcanite.
